SAN CLEMENTE : Council to Examine Deficit-Cutting Plans
- Share via
The City Council will seek ways to plug a projected $2.5-million 1992-93 budget shortfall during two special meetings this week.
The council will meet at 6:30 tonight and Thursday in the council chambers at 100 Avenida Presidio. At tonight’s meeting, the council will also discuss streamlining the city’s budget format, which Mayor Joseph Anderson said is “cumbersome and difficult to work with.”
“We’d like it to be a more functional and user-friendly document so we can clearly see costs as they go through the various departments,” Anderson said.
City Manager Michael W. Parness will present the council with recommendations for budget cuts.
