Santa Margarita Soccer Coach Cuevas Quits

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA — Mario Cuevas, the walk-on boys’ soccer coach at Santa Margarita High School the past four years, has resigned for personal reasons, according to Athletic Director Rich Schaaf.
Under Cuevas, Santa Margarita won the Angelus League title in 1990 and reached the semifinal round of the Southern Section playoffs. Santa Margarita was second in league this season and lost in the first round of the playoffs.
