In response to “Quayle Embraces O.C. Immigrants” (March 19): Being Republican to many of us means staying true to ourselves. Like the GOP, we have a bottom line to protect: traditional family values. Moreover, to be anti-communism is not enough for the GOP to win our hearts. What makes us go for the Republican Party is that we don’t need another Big Brother watching over our lives, as we had in Vietnam.
