ORANGE — Hospital officials are trying to identify a male jogger who was in a coma Friday night after being struck by a car in Placentia.
The victim, estimated to be between 20 and 25 years old, was in critical condition, said Elaine Beno, a spokeswoman at UCI Medical Center in Orange.
He was hit by a car going south on Kraemer Boulevard just south of Livingston Avenue, police said.
The 10:33 a.m. accident is under investigation; no citations were issued, investigators said.
The man is white, about 5-foot-8 and 150 pounds. He has medium-length brown hair, hazel eyes and is cleanshaven, Beno said.
He wore a yellow tank top, blue shorts and Asic running shoes with fluorescent orange and blue stripes, police said.
Hospital officials ask that anyone with information call UCI Medical Center at (714) 456-6112.
