Newhall Wins County OK for 2 Valencia Projects

Newhall Land & Farming Co. has received final approval from Los Angeles County to develop two more big residential projects in Valencia, in the Santa Clarita Valley.
The projects, covering 455 acres, were given final clearance last week from the Board of Supervisors. Newhall is a real estate and agriculture concern whose crown jewel is the master-planned community of Valencia, where the company is headquartered.
The two new projects in the North River Residential Community will include 1,800 houses, two shopping centers and an elementary school. The projects are north and west of Northbridge, the company’s current area of development.
