* John Eyler has been named president and chief executive of FAO Schwarz, effective June 1. Eyler was most recently chief executive of Hartmarx Specialty Stores Inc., a retail unit of Hartmarx Inc. He succeeds Peter L. Harris, who resigned. FAO Schwarz, with 22 branches in the United States, is a unit of Dutch retailer Koninklijke Bijenkorf Beheer.
