Primary Reporting: Two days before the California primary, KCBS-TV Channel 2 will focus on the U.S. Senate races in this state in a special hourlong report airing May 31 at 11 a.m. Through interviews with the candidates, the program will explore where each stands on such issues as abortion, jobs, the environment and rebuilding Los Angeles in the wake of the riots. Bob Jimenez will host. In the meantime, KCBS is airing a series of reports on the Senate contests on its 5 p.m. newscasts.
