The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between May 11 and May 17:
Glendale
Broadway and Kenwood Street--A man reported that he had been assaulted by three men who punched him, struck him on the head with a bottle and robbed him of a wallet containing between $50 and $80 at 1:50 a.m. May 11.
Dunsmore Avenue, 4100 block--A mower and edger, valued together at $1,000, belonging to the City of Glendale were stolen from Dunsmore Park on May 14.
East Garfield Avenue, 600 block--An apartment was broken into and ransacked between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. May 15. A VCR and jewelry, valued together at $1,220, were reported stolen.
Carr Drive and Harvard Street--A boy reported that he was robbed of a jacket, valued at $100, and $2.60 in change by four men in Carr Park after he left a nearby school at 2:30 p.m. May 15.
North Jackson Street, 400 block--A woman reported that her apartment had been entered on May 15 or 16, apparently by someone who used a key. She told police that a VCR, stereo and karaoke machine, valued together at $1,579, were stolen.
Hazel Street, 500 block--A revolver valued at $300 and jewelry of undetermined value were stolen from a home between 9:10 and 11:15 a.m. on May 16. About the same time, thieves entered an apartment behind the same house through an unlocked window, ransacked it and stole unknown items.
East Colorado Street, 1200 block--A robber entered a restaurant at 4:01 p.m. May 16, ordered three employees to the ground at gunpoint and fled with an unknown amount of money from the cash register.
East Windsor Road, 900 block--Two thieves entered an apartment through an open door at 10 p.m. May 16, punched the sleeping male occupant on the nose and fled with $72 cash from the victim’s pants pocket.
East Garfield Avenue, 1300 block--Power tools valued at $1,315 were stolen from an unlocked garage on May 16 or 17.
San Fernando Road, 4100 block--A market was broken into via a roof vent on May 16 or 17. Police caught an intruder inside who was injured and unable to climb back out of the store via a rope that had been used to gain entrance. An alleged accomplice was arrested near the market a short time later.
Maryland Avenue, 4300 block--A piece of meat with ground glass in it was thrown into a residential yard containing two dogs between 11 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. May 17, apparently by neighbors annoyed by the animals’ barking. There were no injuries to the dogs and no arrests have been made.
Eagle Rock
Colorado and Eagle Rock boulevards--A woman’s purse containing $37 was snatched from her hands as she waited for the bus at 9:30 p.m. May 12.
Eagle Rock Boulevard, 4400 block--Burglars broke the lock on the front door of an apartment and stole jewelry valued at $2,500 between 10 a.m. and 11:55 p.m. on May 12.
Yosemite Drive, 1700 block--A woman reported that she was raped at gunpoint in a park at 12:10 a.m. May 13.
North College View Avenue, 4400 block--Two men entered a driveway and threatened a woman with a tire iron before stealing her car and purse at 11:10 a.m. May 17.
Echo Park
West Sunset Boulevard, 1400 block--Thieves stole gas hoses and nozzles valued at $2,400 from a gas station on May 11 or 12.
Elysian Park Drive, 1300 block--Video equipment and clothing, valued together at $1,375, were stolen from an apartment between May 13 and 15.
La Crescenta
Pennsylvania Avenue, 4500 block--More than 200 sheets of plywood valued at $1,680 were stolen from a construction site between May 12 and 13.
Stevens Street, 3000 block--Thieves entered a home through a previously broken window and stole $1,000 in cash from an envelope in a closet between May 15 and 17.
Glassell Park
Roseview Avenue, 3600 block--Burglars forced open a window to gain entrance to a home, ransacked the premises, and stole money and jewelry valued at $8,870 between May 5 and 17.
San Fernando Road, 2500 block--Burglars pried a padlock off a building and stole money and tools, valued together at $1,135, on May 14 or 15.
Scandia Way, 3400 block--Thieves entered a home by climbing a fence and removing a screen between 7:30 and 10 p.m. May 14. Cameras and a stereo, valued together at $2,000, were stolen.
Macon Street, 2800 block--Burglars ransacked a home and stole money and jewelry, valued together at $2,600, between 1 and 10:30 p.m. May 16.
Highland Park
South Avenue 57, 100 block--Household goods, valued at $4,800, were stolen from a building between May 9 and 11.
North Avenue 57, 200 block--Two men robbed a person of a pizza bag and $71 cash in a driveway at 4 p.m. May 12.
Armadale Avenue, 1300 block--A burglar entered a home and stole cameras and recorded music, valued together at $2,258, at 11:45 a.m. May 16.
Figueroa Street, 6000 block--Thieves forced open the front door of a store on May 16 or 17. Money and other property, valued at $1,120, were stolen.
North Avenue 56, 100 block--Two men, both armed with knives, robbed a person of a pizza and $101 cash in a driveway at 10 p.m. May 16.
Los Feliz
North Alexandria Avenue, 1100 block--Burglars forced the rear window of a home open and stole computer equipment and jewelry, valued together at $1,345, between May 2 and 12.
Rowena Avenue, 3000 block--Thieves stole $5,060 in jewelry from an apartment between May 10 and 13.
Rowena Avenue, 3000 block--Jewelry valued at $2,562 was stolen from an apartment on May 12 or 13.
North Vermont Avenue, 1600 block--A store clerk was robbed by a gunman who fled with $200 at 3:45 a.m. May 15.
Russell Avenue, 4300 block--Jewelry and money valued at $1,425 were stolen from a home on May 16 or 17.
Mt. Washington
North Figueroa Street, 3500 block--A gunman robbed a fast-food restaurant employee of $300 at 10:40 p.m. May 14.
Glenalbyn Drive, 4700 block--A computer and video equipment, valued at $2,930, were stolen from a home between 4:15 and 10:55 p.m. May 16.
Silver Lake
Hyperion Avenue, 2500 block--A man armed with a handgun entered a business and robbed the proprietor of a wallet and $775 cash at 11:25 p.m. May 11.
Sunset Boulevard and Bates Avenue--A motorist was robbed at knifepoint of a car and $30 at 2:15 p.m. May 12.
Waterloo Street, 1100 block--Jewelry and money, valued together at $2,385, were stolen from an apartment between 6 a.m. and 8:15 p.m. May 12.
Lake View Avenue, 2300 block--Two men entered a home at 9:10 p.m. May 13, hit and choked a man as he slept and fled with the victim’s wallet containing $170.
Lexington and Vermont avenues--A man was assaulted and robbed of his car at gunpoint by three men when he got out of his car to investigate damage after being rear-ended by the “bump-and-run” assailants.
