70-Year-Old Man Killed in Cycle Accident

WESTMINSTER — A 70-year-old Huntington Beach man driving a motorcycle was killed Saturday when he ran a red light, police said.
The man was identified as Ralph Nyland of Huntington Beach, who died of blunt force traumatic injuries, according to police.
Police said the man was southbound on Bolsa Chica Road when he went through a red light at Westminster Avenue and hit several cars. He was hurled into the air and bounced off several vehicles, police said.
Paramedics transported him to Humana Hospital-Westminster, where he was pronounced dead at 6:14 p.m.
