Joseph F. Peixoto has been named president of Famous Players, a major Canadian motion picture theater chain and subsidiary of Paramount Pictures, Hollywood. Peixoto, 39, succeeds Larry Gleason, who was acting president of Famous Players. Before his appointment, Peixoto was senior vice president of Paramount’s theatrical exhibition group.
