Kristin Dunn of Cal State Northridge won the women’s javelin with a personal-best throw of 156 feet 7 inches in a track and field meet at Mt. San Antonio College on Tuesday.
Dunn, a redshirt freshman, exceeded the provisional qualifying standard of 153-6 for the NCAA Division I championships in Austin, Tex., June 3-6.
Provisional qualifiers will be invited to compete in the NCAA meet if the number of automatic qualifiers is below the desired number in that event.
Dunn’s javelin mark moves her to third on the all-time CSUN list.
