SAN DIEGO : Gun Battle Kills 1 in Logan Heights

A man was shot to death in Logan Heights Wednesday night after a street fight during which as many as 10 shots were fired, San Diego police reported.
The man, who police said was in his early 20s, fell behind a graffiti-defaced delivery truck on Beardsley Street just east of its intersection with Crosby Street. Police units were called to the area, a mixture of single-family homes, apartments and warehouses, at 7:50 p.m. and found the man lying in the street with a fatal wound in his head.
No suspects had been identified late Wednesday night, although police were interviewing witnesses. The victim’s name was not released.
