Kay the gorilla--formerly kept at the Los Angeles Zoo--arrived at her new home Friday in St. Louis.
The primate was flown to St. Louis on Thursday. Some animal rights protesters tried to block the transfer, shouting that zoo Director Mark Goldstein should be sent away instead.
The 28-year-old Kay was accompanied by Los Angeles Zoo gorilla keeper Jennifer Chatfield and St. Louis Zoo veterinarian Randall Junge.
