The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between June 1 and June 7:
Glendale
Columbia Drive, 1300 block--A burglar entered a home through a doggie door and stole a TV, two VCRs and a stereo, valued at more than $1,500, between 5:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. June 1.
East Glenoaks Boulevard, 500 block--A woman reported that a man called at 2 p.m. June 5 and persuaded her over the phone to cut up her shoes, valued at $70, because, as a representative of a shoe store, he would give her a new pair in 30 minutes and a certificate for 40 more free pairs. Police said they have had other similar reports.
Pennsylvania Avenue, 4100 block--Thieves broke the front glass door of Freeway Market and stole 40 cartons of cigarettes, valued at $650, on June 5 or 6.
Echo Park
Sunset Boulevard, 1800 block--Clothing and jewelry, valued at $1,915, were stolen from a medical office between 8:30 and 11 a.m. June 4.
Stadium Way, 1500 block--Burglars smashed the skylight of a home to gain entrance and stole $1,750 cash between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. June 5.
Sunset Boulevard and Mohawk Street--A motorist rear-ended another driver’s car, got out of his car, pointed a gun and stole her purse, valued at $486, at 2:30 p.m. June 6.
Alpine Street and Beaudry Avenue--Two men jumped from a car and stole a woman’s purse, valued at $550, as she walked down the street at 8:40 p.m. June 6.
Montrose
Florencita Drive, 2300 block--Vandals at Glendale Community College tore a telephone from the ground, cut the wires and stole the money from the coin box and also severely damaged five vending machines, valued at $10,000, on June 5 or 6. About $200 in coins and food valued at $100 were stolen.
Atwater
Fletcher Drive, 2700 block--A rape in a parking facility occurred at 9 p.m. June 5.
Eagle Rock
Verdugo Road, 4100 block--Two people on a sidewalk were robbed at gunpoint by two men who fled with money and jewelry, valued at $1,209, at 12:10 a.m. June 3.
Colorado Boulevard, 2200 block--Cigarettes and money, valued together at $5,000, were stolen from a liquor store on June 5 or 6.
Glassell Park
San Fernando Road, 3000 block--Musical instruments and equipment, valued at $6,950, were stolen from a storage shed between June 1 and June 6.
Eagle Rock Boulevard, 3800 block--Burglars climbed to the roof of a commercial building, pried open a window to gain entrance, and stole money and documents, valued at $1,567, between May 30 and June 1.
West Avenue 40, 3700 block--Money and a TV, valued at $1,630, were stolen from a home between 5:05 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. June 3.
Thorpe Avenue, 3300 block--Burglars stole jewelry and money, valued at $1,760, from a home between 6:30 and 10:30 p.m. June 3.
Griffith Park
Zoo Drive and Griffith Park Boulevard--A person got off the freeway to use a restroom at 12:30 a.m. June 4 and was asked for directions by two men, who then brandished a revolver and fled with $520 cash and the victim’s vehicle.
Highland Park
York Boulevard, 5600 block--Computer equipment and tools, valued at $13,000, were reported stolen from a business on June 1.
York Boulevard and Figueroa Street--A woman was forced into a car at knifepoint by a man who drove her to a park and raped her at 10:30 p.m. June 1.
Hayes Avenue, 5900 block--A woman walking down a sidewalk reported that her purse containing $35 was snatched by a person who ran up behind her at 10:05 a.m. June 2.
Avenue 56 and Aldama Street--A woman walking home from night school at 9:30 June 2 was forced into a car by two men who raped her in the vehicle.
Arroyo Drive, 5800 block--Burglars pried off a screen and smashed the window of a home and then stole jewelry and a stereo, valued at $1,320, between 8:30 a.m. and noon on June 5.
Armadale Avenue, 1300 block--Burglars opened the door of an apartment by reaching through an open window and unlocking it, and then stole business machines and jewelry, valued at $2,340, June 6 or 7.
Los Feliz
Gainsborough Avenue, 4500 block--Video equipment and a stereo, valued at $1,100, were stolen from a home between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. June 1.
North Alexandria Avenue, 1600 block--A purse containing $80 was snatched from a woman by a man who fled in a vehicle at 12:10 a.m. June 2.
Vermont Canyon Road and Commonwealth Avenue--A thief confronted a person in a park and took cameras and equipment, valued at $3,750, at 2:30 p.m. June 3.
Los Feliz Boulevard, 4600 block--Video and stereo equipment, valued at $1,400, was stolen from an apartment between 1:30 and 3 p.m. June 3.
Rowena Avenue, 3300 block--Money and sporting goods, valued at $3,525, were stolen from a car in an underground parking lot on June 3 or 4.
Los Feliz Boulevard, 4000 block--Appliances and a TV, valued at $3,805, were stolen from a home between 8:20 a.m. and 1:10 p.m. June 5.
Glendower Avenue, 2700 block--Burglars stole video equipment and jewelry, valued at $3,500, from a home between 8 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. June 5.
Franklin Avenue, 4600 block--Art objects, valued at $2,000, were stolen from an apartment June 6 or 7.
Manzanita Street, 1200 block--Cameras and a TV, valued at $1,327, were stolen from an apartment between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. June 6.
Mt. Washington
Lark Court, 7200 block--Money and jewelry, valued at $6,470, were stolen from a home between 8:30 and 11:30 a.m. June 3.
Quail Drive, 5600 block--Cameras and equipment, valued at $6,200, were stolen from a vehicle June 3 or 4.
Silver Lake
Santa Monica Boulevard, 4600 block--Thieves broke into a government facility and stole business machines and money, valued at $1,615, June 3 or 4.
Panorama Terrace, 2300 block--Thieves entered a home between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. June 4 and stole video equipment and recorded music valued at $1,850.
Griffith Park Boulevard, 1900 block--A TV and a stereo, valued at $1,000, were stolen from an apartment between 1:30 and 5 p.m. June 5.
