Beverly Hills : Budget Meetings Planned

The City Council will begin its review of the city’s estimated $76-million budget during a series of public meetings next week.

The review meetings are scheduled on Tuesday from 2 to 6 p.m., Wednesday from 8 a.m. to noon, and June 23 from 1:30 to 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 455 N. Rexford Drive. An optional meeting is planned for June 30 at 7 p.m.

The budget is expected to be adopted at the council’s June 23 meeting. If it is not approved by then, the council will make an interim appropriation, as it did last year, to meet the city’s operating expenses and adopt the budget in July, said Donald Oblander, the city’s director of finance administration.
