ANAHEIM — A task force of local and federal authorities has seized more than $150 million worth of cocaine and made 25 arrests, ending two long-running narcotics investigations, Anaheim Police Chief Joseph T. Molloy said Thursday.
The investigations centered on “stash houses” in upscale neighborhoods in Valencia, Moreno Valley and northern Orange County where traffickers used private homes as distribution centers for street sales in Las Vegas and Chicago.
In addition to the arrests and seizure of more than 8,500 pounds of cocaine, Molloy said detectives also recovered $400,000 in cash and about 20 automobiles and other assets valued at $100,000.
