Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski said he expects Christian Laettner to earn his degree in the next few weeks, allowing the 1992 national championship banner to remain hanging in the school’s gym.
It was previously reported that the Duke coach would have the banner and the star’s retired No. 32 jersey taken down from Cameron Indoor Stadium if Laettner didn’t obtain his degree by the end of the first summer session.
