CHATSWORTH : Man Hit by Train Is Seriously Injured
- Share via
A Van Nuys man who had been drinking with friends was seriously injured Sunday night when he was struck by a train in Chatsworth Park, Los Angeles police said.
Jose Antonio Frias, 21, suffered fractures in his skull, pelvis and hand in the 9 p.m. accident, Sgt. J.J. Thompson said. Frias apparently was standing near the railroad tracks when a passing train struck him and knocked him down an embankment, Thompson said.
Thompson said it was unclear why Frias was so close to the tracks.
No one else was injured.
