The Washington Capitals offered defenseman Dave Manson a four-year contract in an effort to lure him from the Edmonton Oilers. Manson, 25, signed an offer sheet that calls for $1.1 million the first two years and $1.2 million the third and option year. The Oilers have seven days to match the offer.
