ANAHEIM — A 24-year-old man suspected of robbing several businesses was arrested Wednesday at a motel that was held up during a one-month crime spree, police said.
Since June 12, a lone gunman robbed 15 businesses in Anaheim, taking cash before fleeing, Police Sgt. Chet Barry said. The man generally targeted motels but also robbed an ice cream store and a fast-food restaurant, Barry said.
Robbery detectives arrested Cyril Bernard Wallace of Anaheim on suspicion of armed robbery at the Valencia Inn at 2630 W. Lincoln Ave., Barry said. He said the Valencia Inn was one of the businesses robbed during the series of holdups.
Wallace was being held in Anaheim City Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail, Barry said.
