The Strings lost their sixth consecutive World TeamTennis match, falling to the Newport Beach Dukes, 29-18, in front of 4,002 at the Forum.
Jimmy Connors got the Strings’ only victory, topping Rikard Bergh, 6-5 (5-1). The Dukes (7-3) have won six consecutive matches. The Strings are 3-7.
