Future of Crystal Cove
Your article on Crystal Cove’s dismal future brought back depressing memories of a time in my country of birth (Venezuela) when the government decreed that all beaches were to be opened to the masses. Hotels, condominiums and private homes had to provide access to the beach. The result was predictable: every area that before had limited access became another garbage dump for the masses.
As a member of the “masses,” I would very much like to see Crystal Cove remain the way it is. As a taxpayer, I think it is very fine that my money will be helping to maintain this picturesque area.
