A Stern Talking-To for Robin Abcarian
In her column (“Why Not Just Pull the Plug on Inhumanity?” Aug. 4), Robin Abcarian, like other critics of Howard Stern, criticizes him without showing any understanding of the phenomenon he represents. That’s a shame because it’s obvious that what Howard is presenting is the same kind of jokes we heard and told when we were in junior high school.
Howard’s show is basically a display of teeny-bopper humor, the same crude, gross-out, put-down humor that seems to infiltrate our minds by the onset of puberty.
