BUENA PARK : Centralia Schools to Offer Meal Subsidies
- Share via
The Centralia School District will provide free and reduced-price meals for children as part of a national lunch and breakfast program.
Families may contact the school district at (714) 228-3100 to find out if their children qualify for the meals.
Qualifications are based on family size and income. For example, a family of four with an annual income of $18,135 or less is eligible for free meals, while the same size family with an annual income of $25,808 can receive reduced-price meals.
Children whose families receive food stamps, Aid to Families With Dependent Children benefits or help from the Food Distribution or Indian Reservations programs are automatically eligible, regardless of their household income. Eligibility for a foster child is based on the foster family’s income.
Applications will be sent to all Centralia student households with a letter explaining the meal program. The forms will also be available in all school offices and may be submitted at any time during the school year.
