2 Tracks on Monorail

I do not understand why news stories in the Valley Edition of the Times regarding monorail on the freeway have been consistently biased against the idea. The last article (“Developers’ Funds Back Monorail Committee,” Aug. 17) was so obvious I felt obligated to answer.
While I do not belong to Citizens for Monorail, I am a member of the Western Sector Transit Coalition and chairman of the transit committee of the Reseda Neighborhood Association.
I would like to see monorail get a fair shake. You are not doing it. The article showing that Citizens for Monorail are also businessmen, and that they are associated with Supervisor Mike Antonovich, made that look like some kind of plot.
Who do you think belongs to the Valley Industry and Commerce Assn.? Is VICA a clone of the International Red Cross? And what about the Warner Center Association? Is that another Amnesty International? Do their members abstain from associating with their representatives?
I am glad there is a Citizens for Monorail. I know that I and my constituent members cannot associate with our representatives, members of these above organizations. Citizens for Monorail is just leveling the playing field.
