A section of Sequoia Avenue at the Southern Pacific railroad tracks will be closed Tuesday through Friday for the installation of a rubberized crossing.
City officials are encouraging motorists to use other north-south routes, such as Sycamore Drive and Tapo Street, during the construction period.
The rubberized crossings, which are designed to provide a smoother ride for motorists over the railroad tracks, were recently installed on 1st Street, Erringer Road and Sycamore Drive. They will be installed later at the Tapo Street crossing.
