Now let’s see if I’ve got this Republican platform straight; if my daughter happens to be raped--say by a madman with a congenital brain defect--and happens to become pregnant, she must carry the baby to full term. Then, in accordance with the requirements of “family values,” she must marry the rapist and stick with him the rest of her life.
I’m going to have to think that over a while before I buy into it.
