Disney Reportedly Considering Bond Sale: Walt Disney Co. hopes to raise $500 million in a private bond sale to help pay production costs of 15 to 30 films, Bloomberg Business News reported. The Burbank company had no formal response to the report, but a Disney executive privately called it premature. Bloomberg said Disney would try to sell “participating debt securities” to institutional investors under the tentative plan. The transaction would help Disney lower its risks in making movies. Investors who bought the securities would share in Disney’s film profit.
