Brad Parks of San Clemente teamed with Randy Snow of Austin, Tex., to win the gold medal in men’s open doubles tennis Friday at the Paralympic Games in Barcelona. France was second and Germany third. Swimmer Heidi Schetter of Irvine helped the U.S. team win the 1,600 medley relay at the games, finishing almost 13 seconds ahead of runner-up Great Britain.
