Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run

A 39-year-old Los Angeles man was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Northridge, Los Angeles police said Saturday.
Miguel Angel Chavez was killed about 10:15 p.m. Friday as he crossed Lindley Avenue near Saticoy Street, Officer Robert Robinson said.
Chavez was struck by a car traveling south on Lindley Avenue. The driver fled the scene.
Witnesses described the car as a black Dodge or Chevrolet that was driven by a man in his 20s, Robinson said.
