Baldwin Park : Bus Passes for Students
College students who take public transportation to class will be eligible for a bus subsidy program approved by the council on Wednesday.
The city will sell low-cost RTD/Foothill Transit passes to residents who provide proof of enrollment in a minimum of 12 units at a college, university or trade school.
The bus passes usually cost $25, but the city will sell them for $17.50. The $20,000 cost to the city for providing the program will be furnished through state transportation funding.
