IBM Announces New Personal Computers: IBM has announced 12 new models in its PS-2 personal computer line and has expanded its customer service. The new models and service are part of a phased rollout of products and strategies under IBM Personal Computer Co., a new division of the company. International Business Machines Corp. says it offers PS-2 customers a 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week phone support line and a three-year warranty. List prices of the new PS-2s range from $2,265 to $14,095, excluding monitors. Most of the new PS-2s are pre-loaded at the factory with IBM’s OS-2 software. IBM has also announced four new multimedia computers that can use special software mixing text, sound and images, and a new data storage device called a disk array.
