Robertson to Acquire MTM’s Parent Firm: The Rev. Pat Robertson’s International Family Entertainment Inc. says it plans to buy London-based TVS Entertainment for $68.5 million. TVS’ divisions include MTM Entertainment, producer of “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “Evening Shade.” International Family Entertainment, which owns cable’s Family Channel, hopes to use the acquisition to expand into Europe. TVS shareholders would have the option of accepting Class B common stock from the Robertson company or a combination of stock and cash.
