Admar to Acquire 2 Firms: Admar Group Inc., which administers supplemental health-insurance programs for employers, said Monday that it has agreed to acquire affiliated companies Benefit Plan Administrators and Hofgard & Co. for cash and notes of $1.6 million. The two companies, both based in Boulder, Colo., provide services similar to Admar Group’s. They now serve about 30,000 individuals in their region and have revenue of $1.5 million. Admar is based in Santa Ana.
