India Punishes Firm Over Sales to Syria

NEW DELHI — The Indian government has temporarily revoked the export license of a company that sold Syria 45 tons of trimethyl phosphite, a chemical capable of making nerve gas as well as pesticides, officials said Thursday.
They said the government is considering prosecuting Bombay-based United Phosphorous over the sale.
