A Little Good Advice for the New ‘Commish’

An open letter to Bud Selig, High Commissioner of Baseball:

Dear Bud,

Now that you and your co-owners have dumped that good-for-nothing Fay Vincent, may I offer a few suggestions?

--Reinstate Steve Howe immediately. This will mean a lot to the New York Yankees.

--Install Pete Rose in the Hall of Fame without further wasted time. In addition, arrange for his canonization so we all will have no trouble knowing who is meant when we hear St. Pete.

--Pass a resolution that will mandate that central time be used whenever the Cubs are on the road on the West Coast. This will enhance the TV revenues of WGN.

--Appoint me as commissioner. I could use the rest.
