After 20 years of vicarious pleasure derived from your travel section, my husband and I decided it was time to make a few tracks of our own. If ever we have experienced a breathtaking thrill, it was that which came on a “tour” of France’s majestic Loire Valley by balloon: a panoramic overview of the valley with its spectacular terrain sporadically etched with castles and magnificent chateaus. And all with the comforts of home, meticulously arranged and supervised by the personable Buddy Bombard and his marvelous staff, comprising the Bombard Balloon Adventures, headquartered in McLean, Va.
