It is a sad commentary on the moral health of our society when a man of the cloth has to appeal almost apologetically to the entertainment industry for some kind of self-imposed restraint. Why self-imposed restraint? Aren’t we supposed to be living in a civilized society governed by laws and rules?
If the entertainment industry is arrogantly indifferent to the wishes of the majority of the American people, then new laws should be enacted to compel it to toe the line. And this is not censorship.
