ITT Hartford Cutting 150 to 250 Jobs: ITT Hartford Insurance Group announced that it expected to eliminate the jobs to cut costs in its property-casualty operations. But the company said the job cuts would be made solely through voluntary resignations, and no employees would be laid off. The company offered 11,200 employees in four divisions of ITT’s property-casualty insurance operations nationwide a chance to resign and receive separation pay based on their years of service, said Jack Daly, assistant vice president for corporate relations. The company said it expected between 150 and 250 employees to accept the offer.
