COSTA MESA : Council Candidates to Debate in Forum

The 11 candidates vying for a spot on the City Council will debate the issues facing the city in a candidates’ forum tonight sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce.
Charles Wilson of Southern California Edison Co. will act as moderator for the event, which begins at 7 in the City Council chambers. Questions from the audience will be taken during the forum.
Incumbents Mary Hornbuckle, Sandra L. Genis and Joe Erickson are facing eight challengers. They are Brian Theriot, Gary Monahan, Donald Williams, Denis Retoske, Karen McKenna-Juergens, Chris Steel, Kevin Austin and Stephen McGuire.
