BIONIC DOG: Fullerton police are about to get their new $6,000 German shepherd, thanks to an anonymous donor who knows how much cities are strapped for cash. The new dog will replace the retiring Harris. But getting a police dog isn’t that easy. The new one, already trained, will come from Europe, where experts say the breeding is “genetically superior.” . . . After reviewing records, “you just pick him out, like a horse,” explains Sgt. Neal Baldwin.
