Hart 50, Burroughs 3--Visiting Hart scored on seven consecutive possessions en route to a 47-point first-half lead and then settled for a 50-3 win over Burroughs.
Hart quarterback Davis Delmatoff, who played only in the first half, completed 17 of 23 passes for 303 yards and four touchdowns as Hart took a 47-0 lead at halftime. Hart (8-0, 2-0) finished with 382 yards of total offense to 96 for Burroughs (0-8, 0-2).
Delmatoff hit running back Deriek Charles on a screen pass that went for a school-record 98-yard touchdown and a 40-0 lead. Charles opened the scoring with a 13-yard touchdown run.
Hart defensive backs John McLaughlin and Soren Halladay each returned interceptions for touchdowns. McLaughlin scored on a 35-yard return in the first quarter and Halladay ran 25 yards with his interception in the second quarter.
Jason Medearis finished with four catches for 92 yards, including touchdowns of 20 and 16 yards for Hart, The Times’ No. 1 team in the area.
Burroughs’ lone score came on a school-record 50-yard field goal by Anthony Perico in the third quarter.
