THOUSAND OAKS : Sheriff’s Station to Hold Open House

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department east valley station will hold an open house this month, the first the station has hosted in four years.
The event will be held Nov. 14 at the station at 2101 E. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Several special units from the Sheriff’s Department will be at the event, which will feature helicopters, equipment from the SWAT team and demonstrations from a K-9 officer.
The Thousand Oaks Kiwanis will provide refreshments, with proceeds going to the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program and the Crime Stoppers program.
