BURBANK : Bigger Courthouse Poses No Risk
- Share via
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors found Tuesday that the proposed expansion of the 1950s-era Burbank Municipal Court would have no negative effect on the environment.
The unanimous decision means that the project will not have to undergo a lengthy environmental impact report before it can be considered by the board.
A courthouse construction program approved in 1988 includes a 36,105-square-foot expansion of the courthouse, which would house two additional courtrooms and space for court offices. The expansion is expected to be paid for with county bonds.
