Magdaleno Decisions Cole, Remains Unbeaten

Ernesto Magdaleno, a light heavyweight from Westminster, overcame a sluggish start to win a unanimous eight-round decision over Israel Cole of Las Vegas Wednesday night at the San Diego Sports Arena.
Cole (13-8-4) started strong, but Magdaleno (15-0, six knockouts), despite a left eye that began to close in the fourth round, punished Cole in the sixth.
