John E. Savage, president and chief operating officer of Amwest Insurance Group Inc., has been given the additional post of co-chief executive officer.
Savage, who turned 40 today, shares the chief executive’s position with his father, Richard H. Savage, 73, who is Amwest’s founder and chairman and formerly its sole chief executive.
Amwest is a Woodland Hills-based underwriter of surety bonds, such as contract-performance and bail bonds.
