JOB WELL DONE? A guilty plea on misdemeanor conflict-of-interest violations forced Ron Isles out as Brea’s mayor, but at least he has this to look forward to: a nice commendation from Orange County. . . . Supervisor Gaddi H. Vasquez is recommending commendations for seven outgoing mayors in his district at today’s board meeting. Isles will be lauded for his community service and his “innate ability to bring people together.” Says Vasquez: “One is simply giving credit where credit is due, notwithstanding what might have happened since.”
