Half of USC’s victories have resulted from late comebacks:
--Against Oklahoma, the Trojans overcame a 10-point deficit, scoring all of their points in the last 14 minutes of a 20-10 victory.
--Against California, the Trojans rallied from an 11-point deficit, scoring 14 points in the last 9:15 of a 27-24 victory.
--Against Arizona, the Trojans overcame a one-point deficit, scoring the winning touchdown with 6:25 to play in a 14-7 victory.
Tailback Deon Strother’s three-yard touchdown pass to quarterback Rob Johnson during Saturday’s game against Arizona was not his first as a Trojan. Last season, during a 34-27 victory over Washington State, Strother combined with Larry Wallace on a 28-yard touchdown pass play.
Sophomore tackle Tony Boselli is doubtful for UCLA after suffering a sprained ankle against Arizona. . . . Arizona rushed for a season-low 68 yards against USC. . . . Johnnie Morton, who caught four passes for 108 yards against Arizona, has had five 100-yard receiving games at USC.
