Pay-Fone’s Earnings Rebound in 1st Quarter

Pay-Fone Systems Inc., a Van Nuys provider of automated payroll services, posted a $45,215 profit for its fiscal first quarter, compared with a year-earlier loss of $201,170.
The earnings rebound in the quarter ended Sept. 30 came despite a slip in Pay-Fone’s revenue to $1.10 million from $1.21 million a year earlier.
