Good Seen in King School Visit; Others Disagree
- Share via
As the economic picture remains dark, gang-related shootings move to the suburban schools, and public investigations of those accused of abuse of the public trust drag on, I favor any open discussion that promotes understanding, especially among the young people who stand to inherit all the problems.
Maybe Supt. Andrews and those individuals who objected to the visit of Mr. King would prefer persons like Supervisor (Don R.) Roth or Mitchell Gold or State Department officials to give “motivational” talks to young people.
I hope Supt. Andrews handles the situation in a manner deserving of the term enlightened .
